Celebrate the last month of summer with Lefra Productions’ first Afrikaans Music Carnival at Carnival City in March, offering the cream of Afrikaans musical artists. The carnival kicks off on Friday, 6 March with Snotkop, and a new artist performs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, right up until Saturday 28 March.

Bookings for the carnival can be made through Computicket, and, of course, you can visit our site, www.eventsnow.co.za, for all the individual details.

As said previously Snotkop begins the celebration, and he is followed by Jan Blohm and Mathys Roets over the same weekend. The next weekend sees Sarah Theron, Izak Davel and Randall Wicomb performing, and Coenie de Villiers shows why he is one of South Africa’s favourites on 22 March. The legendary Laurika Rauch will also make an appearance, for two days!

The shows are the ideal way for your school, church or service organisation to make some money. Any one of these excellent productions can be used to raise funds. Simply call Cecile Kleyn at 011 815 3000 or email her at cecile@lefra.co.za, and she will send you information about how easy it is to gather R10 000!

The Managing Director of Lefra Productions, Frans Swart, decided to present this carnival since these are artists that one does not have the opportunity to see perform live very often. He says, “We have attempted to offer something for young and old, but especially to concentrate on quality.  And perhaps we have tried to move away from the commercial artists that we see so much more often in other productions.  This Music Carnival is really for the connoisseur of Afrikaans music!”

Join the rest of the Afrikaans music lovers at the Carnival!
