Joburg Easter Festival promises to delight!

April 3, 2009

joburg-easterYou don’t have to be concerned about what to do over Easter! The Joburg Easter Festival is everything you need when it comes to what to do!

The all-new festival, which opened today and will continue entertaining until 13 April, will celebrate with a stunning laser and pyrotechnic display at 18:30 on 3 April that will leave everyone thoroughly impressed. The opening weekend also boasts a star-studded celeb-fest, as well as a wide range of  exhibits that cater for everyone in the family.

Children are bound to have the most fun: there’s the Zip Zap Circus, which will dazzle with gravity-defiant acts every day; the Kiddies Theatre will run Beautiful Creatures, the renowned children’s show, on weekends and public holidays; the Lory Park Zoo will give children the chance to interact with beautiful animals; storytelling; shows; the fame academy; playground equipment; and an extensive variety of games and toys.

Many families are planning to stay in Johannesburg this holiday season, as the effects of the global economic crunch take effect, but even so, Easter is a period that is all about quality family time, and so it should be spent in a fun and exciting environment. The Joburg Easter Festival has seen over R5 million invested into it to provide a fresh and diverse entertainment line-up that the city would be pleased to be associated with. montage

The entertainment on offer could easily cost over R600 per person, according to CEO of MTN Expo Centre, Craig Newman, but all this fun and excitement has been crammed into a great day out, costing adults only R70 for themselves and R25 for children under 13. Children under 6 are free!

Newman goes on to say, “There is simply no other entertainment venue in Johannesburg that will offer the same value for money as the Joburg Easter Festival”.

Be sure to make your way to the MTN Expo Centre in Nasrec for this great experience!
