The Robertson Small Hotel is a one-of-a-kind, timeless and sophisticated destination, inarguably one that everyone will be talking about!

The hotel has 10 spacious luxury en-suite bedrooms, décor that is a testament to consistent artistry, lush manicured gardens and shimmering pools. It has an understated elegance that is unique, while the acclaimed Reuben Riffel has charge of the restaurant. There is also a state-of-the-art cellar, featuring the finest local wines.

This luxurious Utopia is along the increasingly popular Route 62, in the popular Robertson Wine Valley. The Robertson Wine Valley is tucked between the Langeberg and Riviersonderend mountain ranges. It is picturesque, and offers a visual feast with a landscape of roads fringed by an array of flowers, trees and vineyards. The Breede River runs through the valley, symbolising the sustaining source of life of the valley.

The Robertson Small Hotel is situated within this paradise, in the quaint town of Robertson, at the centre of one of the most highly desirable wine tourism experiences.

The Hotel is what Nica Maree, young, innovative Designer and Project Manager, thinks of as a “family of three buildings”: the Manor House, which was originally called Zandvlietand is a National Monument built in 1909 – this houses the restaurant; the Stables; and the Poolside Suites. Every one of the suites is a place filled with the comforts of life, furnished with king-size extra-length beds that are fitted with 100% cotton-percale, oxford-edged and satin-stitched linen, equipped with air-conditioning, under-floor heating and heated towel rails, and facilitated with wireless Internet connections, international plug points, flat screen televisions and DStv, as well as a DVD Player and an iPod docking station.

The design of the boutique Hotel is the epitome of a harmonious journey from old to new, and the old-world charm of the Victorian Manor House makes the ideal focal point for the entire experience.

Reuben’s at The Robertson Small Hotel uses natural and seasonal produce, and demonstrates a progression towards organic. Reuben Riffel is joined by Executive Chef Aviv Liebenberg, who trained under Reuben and heralds from Bouillabaisse, while Pastry Chef Christien van der Westhuizen of Le Quartier Français, tops of the epicurean experience. The dishes will evolve continuously, and they will, needless to say, be accompanied by an extensive wine list that will cater for all tasted.

The Hotel itself is managed by young, trendy and multi-talented couple Riaan and Stefané Kruger, who launched and managed Royal Madikwe, and with this degree of management, visitors can rest assured that staff are expertly trained and absolutely attentive. This new hotel offers an unparalleled experience of country luxury! The Hotel has also opened its doors with a special opening rate that starts at R650 per person sharing, with a single supplement surcharge of R200.
